As a group owner, how do I prevent an announcement to be sent to members automatically , re : file uploads?

I DID NOT check the option "send a notification to members", and the notification still went out, re : file upload. Is it because I am the owner ? I belong to another yahoogroup, but as a member; and when I upload a file, and check : "don't send notification", no notification is sent to all members.

If you are the owner of the group, even if you DO NOT check the little "notification" box, a notification is sent to you (not the group.

the little box to check is there for members and owners- if any add a file and they check that box, that accouncement will go out- that feature is a yahoo default that owners cant change
