  1. Probably not but you can go in your towns sport teams

  2. Like most of the other answers, It all depends on where you live. The school my kids are in, they don`t mind if Homeschoolers play on their sports teams. In fact my preachers kids are homeschooled and they play sports in a public school.

  3. I've seen homeschooling kids take a class the last block of the day so that they could participate in sports.  Maybe an arts, vocational or science class with a lab that would difficult to do at home.....   Just a thought.  Work around the system when necessary!

  4. Depends on where you live! Call the school board to find what out the policy is. In some areas they have programs started and others are working them out. Good Luck!

  5. Some schools will let you. Some won't. Some will require that you take a few classes to qualify, others don't. And some will say absolutely not. You'll have to contact your local school to find out the rules.

  6. It really depends - each school gets to make their own determination on that one.

In our area, homeschool kids can participate on public and private school teams, but (at least for individual sports) they can't go to state competition.  They can participate in all the meets, and be the fastest or strongest person on the team, but can't participate at state.

On the flipside, we have a local homeschool league that covers nearly every sport, and participates in the same leagues and tournaments as the public and private schools.  Through this league, our kids have every opportunity that a ps kid would have.

It really all just depends - have your parents check it out with your local public and private schools.

  7. I highly doubt it. If you're not enrolled at the school, you don't get to enjoy its privileges, and that tends to include athletics.

Likewise if a high school student is suspended or expelled, he/she is typically suspended from or kicked off the athletic teams.

  8. It really depends on the district. In my district we can because we pay taxes to the school. Check with you district to make sure.

  9. the answer is YES!!!

You CAN participate on your local PUBLIC school's sports and clubs teams.  It doesn't mean that you'll be picked at the lead quarterback for football though.

Even catholic schools alow homeschool students to try out.

And if all else fails, look into your communities Parks and Rec leages, those are just as good.

I would contact the schools, and not just talk to 1 person but try like 3 because they might try to presuade you not to join.

    GOOD LUCK

  10. That depends on where you live.
