As a moderator of a group, how do I approve or disapprove a member?

I have just started a group and I told members to send me an email so I could make sure they were actual members of my community- to keep outsiders out. 2 People have already joined but I haven't approved them yet. How does this work?

management- under group settings click membership- Membership Type and Welcome Message (Edit) <-- click the edit- 3 choices

* Open (anyone can join)

* Restricted (you approve all requests for membership) <---
