I have just married my girlfriend of 20 years because I just became a U.S Citizen. Now I am wondering if I could apply for a greencard for my stepson. He has been living with me since the age of 8.

  1. No.  Stepson has no legal standing in US immigration law.  Children adopted before a certain age can be petitioned, but stepchildren can never be.
