I wanted to make this for a friend. I do sock ones for adults and everyone likes them. Would you like this? Or is it too much trouble to pick apart? I know the with the diaper cakes, a lot of new moms say there were nice and pretty but a pain to pull apart.

  3. I am sure a new mother would love anything with color. It will lighten up her day after being so tired:) I think it's a thoughtful gift!!

  4. My kids are grown now but my memories of being a new mother were of being tired constantly.  It looks nice but it may be a pain to use.

Also everyone always gets something for the baby, why not think about something to pamper the mum instead.

  5. You should get it....it is different and useful

  6. Id like one. They look pretty, and who cares about being a pain to pull apart?

It shows you care more than just to wrap up a pack of onesies.

    I say, go for it!

  7. That's adorable. I would love if someone had shown up with that at my baby shower. Go for it, it isn't only a cool gift, it shows you put a lot of care and effort into making it nice for her.

  10. First I think anything you made would be genuinely appreciated because its from the heart. Its a clever idea, I have never seen it before. I am 8 months pregnant and  I think if I was given one at my shower or something, I would think it was pretty cool and different. I say go for it.

  11. It would be a unique gift!! I would like it!

  12. Oh my GOD that is so cute!!! d**n you for making me broody!!! I think it would make a lovely gift... Maybe stick a note in offering to pick it apart for her? lol. I want one!!!

  14. that is very cute and colorful sure i would like it and me knowing myself wouldn't even want to pull it apart. i am currently prego and would like one . oh i envy your friend .

  15. that is so sweet! make it!

  16. I'd like it just because it's unique. It's a gift, and I don't really expect to like gifts anyway because I'm a picky person, so I would take it and appreciate it's uniqueness, even if I didn't find it practical. It honestly depends on the person you're getting it for, and what they like.

  17. That is a really cool idea, and I would love to get it.  It wouldnt take that long to pick apart... and its better than real flowers because it is useful.  I think its a great idea!!!

  18. awww! Its awesome! I would have loved that when i was pregnant!

  19. I would like it, nice idea!

It's not that much trouble to pull them apart, just takes an extra minute.

  20. I think it's adorable. Go for it!

  21. I made that recently for a baby shower.  If you buy the green floral tape, it rubs off on some of the lighter colored socks.  And when you take the tape off it stays sticky.  I bought her a bunch of socks and gave her plenty that were not in the bouquet so she could keep the bouquet on display or throw it out.  By the way - I found this project to be really tedious.  I'm not very crafty, which could have been part of it, and I'm exhausted myself with a little one on the way.  But it turned out really nice in the end.

  22. I would love it as a gift.  That is so cool.  I like the neat and different gifts.  It comes from the heart. And what else does a mom have to do while still waiting on baby to shot.  Diaper cakes aren't that hard to pull apart.

  23. So cute, I would love it!

  24. I would like it.

  25. i think it is very cute! go for it.

  26. ADORABLE!!!!!!

    I would LOVE that.

  27. i would like it

  28. it probably would be a pain to pull apart...if you give it to her make sure to give it to her ahead of time before the baby comes so she will actually have the time to pull it apart.

  29. I love it and think it is very cute and inventive. Go ahead and do it. I'm sure the new mother will love it.

  30. I would LOVE it! I think it's a great idea-- So much so, I am positive that if I received one, I probably wouldn't *want* to take it apart. It's a great idea though, and I'd really like to receive one.

  31. Oh, that's adorable!  I'd be so excited to get that!

When I got married, one of our Swiss friends made us a similar bouquet made of dish cloths and wooden utensils.  It was so nice, and the only reason I didn't like taking it apart was because it was pretty.  It's kind of like eating a really beautiful dessert... you get over it :)
