  1. You are so smart!!

My 3.5 yo has been really good and clever lately!!

And for my 8 month old.

    You are so freaking cute!!

lol for once, I get to yell nice things :D

  2. God bless you child, how many times have I told you.....

    Please, get dressed already!

Finish eating, please, so you can play!

Finish cleaning up, please, so you can go play!

(We use ALOT of 'please and thank you' around our house, even with  discipline. It helps your kids to remember that politeness and manners are always a must. It works too. My son ALWAYS gets comments on how polite he is!)

  3. "no" ... hopefully someday it will be "yes"!

  4. That's enough.

  5. LOL What a great question mine is definitely  "I have already answered that"

  6. "Ugh...you never listen to me!!!"

  7. Stop trying to kill each other.

  8. Definately "Eat your food"

    and "Dont do that"

Some sentences i must use to much, because sometimes my little dear cherubs say them to each other!

  9. NO-NO-NO!!!!

  10. 'Stop fighting!"  OR

    "Settle down."

It's a toss up between the two, lol.

  11. "Be careful."

I read once someone's recommendation that you replace that phrase with "pay attention," which is more empowering, less fear-mongering, and probably more helpful.

  12. Because I said so..That definately has top the list...I swore I would never say it..But i do..

  13. hehe... "eat your food".  That's about right. My daughter's only about 16 months old, so I think right now my most over-used sentence is "don't do that".

  14. "This is the last time I'm going to say it in this voice.  It gets worse from here."

    "Don't use the squeaky voice"

    (trying to retrain a whiner)

    No freshies

    I love you

    Five more minutes

    Check your sugar

    Seat belts... check?

"I got the feeling!" (translates to:  I need to hug someone.  they sqeak and laugh and run and hide.)

    This is not a restaurant

    Great job with _____ !

"Dr. Jones, what are you doing in such a nasty place?"  and other Indiana Jones quotes.  Having nothing to do with child rearing of course, my son and I are both fans and we exchange silly movie quotes all day long.  We love this one because the guy's voice is so Bloomingdale'sy when he says it.

P.S.  LOL at "tell your feet to walk" above me

  15. My mom says things like, "You are so smart," or, "You are so good," a lot. And of course, "I love you," but I'm seventeen now, and I'm pretty much grown up, so I don't need a lot of the other sentences.

I like what someone else said about saying please a lot, even with discipline. My mom did the same thing. She was always kind and polite when giving out consequences, making sure that we understood why we got them, and that it was a learning thing, not a mean thing.

I get complimented on my manners all the time too. I think I'll use that with my kids as well.

  16. Mine is "shut the **** up".

  17. DON'T

    sam

  18. "We'll see." or... "Let me think about it."

  19. Go to bed

  20. Get your finger out of there!

  21. Stop the naughties.

  22. "Where's your ears???"

  23. "Tell your feet to walk". ( in the house).

I say this so many times a day.

  24. Why can't you kids just listen to me!

    or

SHUSH! You're to loud in the car!

  25. No, stop that!

    or

    Lola, put it down!

And of course I love you.

  26. "Dont do that."

    - that makes me sound like a terrible mother.

but my girls like to climb walls, ect.

  27. "Ask your father"

  28. I have three:

    Eat your food

    Don't touch mommy's phone

Let's not poke sister in the eye

Oh and we say "I love you" often too.

  29. "Get down from there!"

I swear my kid can climb walls.

  30. haha - "KNOCK IT OFF!!!!!!!!"

  31. 'Do you have to do that'
