As a rule, how much do you tolerate people who are being stupid, rude, selfish, obnoxious, etc?

In what situations are you most tolerant? Least tolerant?

  1. I have absolutely no brain space whatsoever spare for c**p.

Walking away is what I do well.

I am only tolerant if someone needs help and I can give it. If they choose not to take it I am still tolerant cos it's their choice & life.

    Best wishes. UK

  2. I am most tolerant iin situations where reacting would be uncomfortable or unfair to anyone else around me, or cause problems for others.

Least tolerant if someone has been going ON & ON allll day LOL.

Im not a tolerant person but I put others first,

  3. I work with junior high kids so I have a higher tolerance with someone being obnoxious, rude, selfish etc. but I give them a break for some things. I dont tolerate it when they are bullies or have sexist/racist/homophobic remarks or are rude to adults/speakers/presenters.

Yet when my mother-in-law is racist/homophobic/sexist I just dont know what to say to her. I dont know if I tolerate it any better but more like at a loss for words. Junior high kids can blame the crushing hierarchy of middle school, hormones, or developing intellects but I don't know how to understand an educated woman saying those things.

With strangers I tend to tolerate most things unless they are invading my space, damaging my property, wasting my money/time, or smell.

But even then I try to hold back because I think one of these days someone will challenge my attempts at peace/sanity and I will be forced to kick their ***. Less satisfying when those people turn around and sue you.

  4. it all depends on ur patience. with me the more it wears out the more i distance myself from people like that.

the most tolerant i will be is when someone has done something or said something that falls under all that is when the person comes back and admits brainlessness. i do that on occasion.  then u can only hope for forgiveness. the least is when someone is like that on a continuous basis. never apologizes for a harsh stupid remark they made i front of all people.

really it depends on the person u are, too. at times u can, by choice, be extremely tolerant. at times u can choose to be less.
