As a server where would you make more given there in the same geographical area?

Black Angus or Olive Garden. I have a job interview for both of them. Believe it or not, I am a 26 yo male who has been in 3 different branches of the military, honorable discharge from each and a lil college under my belt, this is just something I wanna do and then start taking courses for hotel restaurant management. So I do want to serve tables but whereshould I accept Black Angus or Olive Garden

Depending on where you live, I would say Black Angus.  I worked for them for a couple years a while back and I made bank.  Though our Black Angus had a bar which served food.  When I worked the bar on the weekends, I could walk with $350.00 - $400.00 a night.  Also, Black Angus used to be a part of The ARG Corporation, (I don't know if they still are) which owns several restaurants nationally.  They always promoted within the server pool.

You want to work for the one that sales the most booze. Booze is what drives your tab up, which drives your tips up. I have never heard of Black Angus, but am guessing it to be a steak house. Most people at steak houses order ice tea, a soda or maybe a beer. Most people at Olive Garden order a cocktail, a glass of wine or a bottle of wine.

I would go with Olive Garden.
