As a special ed student , is it possible if he or she score highest on SAT or PSAT also graduated as modified standard diploma. is it’s possible for him or she get accepted to 4 year college? Also maybe get

Scholarship?

I’m also special ed student because my mom signed a contract but that all right.

I study at home. The special ed class is some ****. You don’t learn any thing as far as I know we all want (bright and promising future. That what I want )

  1. Yes, it is possible. I was in special education because I have ADD and some learning disabilities, and my scores on the SAT were decent. They weren't the highest, but they were good enough to get me accepted into a 4-year college. I got a scholarship and I graduated just four years after high school.

If you go to college, there won't be any special ed teachers or IEP's, so you will have to advocate for yourself. You will have to talk to each of your professors and tell them what your disabilites are and what accomodations you need.

  2. Special education students must be realistic.  If they have the ability to pass the SAT and PSAT and have the background that will equip them for this, then go ahead.  However, if the background is not there, they will need a great deal of time to study and bone up on what was missed.  Some students can do this in less time than others.  I will never tell anyone what you cannot do, because I have eyewitnessed special education students excelling far beyond regular education students.  On the other hand, get counsel from your counselors and teachers.  Pace yourself, test yourself along the way, and then prove to yourself if you can do it.  -- Toni D (a senior lady)

  3. Every special ed student is different. No one here can tell you whether or not we think you can do well on the PSATs or SATs because we don't know you and haven't seen your work.

You can get into a 4 year college but you need to find one with good services for disabled students so you can get the correct accomidations.

  4. hey, take it eaasy, wherte there is a will there is a way. keep focused on your objectives. you will achieve success. there is nithing that succeeds like success

  5. score high-yes-highest--small possibility-like people with  aspergers

can get into a good college

  6. Its much harder to score high on the SAT or PSAT. Just go to community college and then go to a unversity. You can go to a 4 year college if you get in. I don't think you can get a scholarship. Just to let you know you get no help in college.

  7. As a supposed "Special Education Student" I would have to say... that in all reality it is possible to score high or even highest as you have said on a P-SAT or SAT. It's just having the right motive to do so. It is very possible to even get accepted to a four year college and even get a scholarship.  P.S. - I also agree that "Special Education" classes are bull. :]
