As a train conductor, what would you do if a passenger threw a handful of change in your face?

On board the train, the Conductor is the boss.  The train doesn't even move without the Conductor's say-so.  

In such a situation, I would thank the passenger for his donation, and ask him to please leave the train.  If the passenger did not comply, I would radio the Superintendent and inform him of the situation.

On one such occasion, the police heard the radio message and simply pulled alongside.  That was enough for the unruly passenger.  He left rather quickly.....

In practice, I would expect that the passenger can expect police to be waiting for him at the next station.  I know a few people involved with Amtrak.  Incidents like this are not taken lightly.  They prosecute miscreants like this, and win.

Let everyone know the reason for the delay is because of some d**k head.

if the conductor is smart, he would just continue his job and call it in so police will be waiting for him at the next stop. The passenger could be charged for simple assault / breach of peace.
