When i was in Bali the traditional women walked around in their sarongs with bare chests, not sexualised - so it is possible - but is it possible in the west? The trend in bali was moving towards western clothing unfortunately.

  1. topless women are common in most of europe and australia, on the beaches anyway.

  2. As much as I would love the freedom to be able to lay out in my back yard topless and get a nice toasty tan, I have to contain my puppies or someone might get hurt.

  3. i think new york city very quietly passed a law saying that women could appear topless in public the same as men, and every once in a while someones tests the law by riding a subway exposed, but you always have to worry about creating a public nuisance by drawing a crowd, whether that was your intent or not...personally, i'd like to see it...freedom is delicious

  4. You can do that all you want here in America, just as long you're willing to spend a few days in jail.

  5. You know it's not the men that would try to stop you ,but rather other women.

  6. We are a long way from desexualizing b*****s here in the west.  That is why people don't even feel comfortable breastfeeding their babies in public.

  7. Women themselves have sexualized their b*****s.  Think of the fortune many women spend on enhancing their b*****s with surgery or Victoria's  Secret.  Think of the number of women who walk around flaunting them as if everyone wants to see them.  The truth of the matter is most people would prefer not to have to see sagging b*****s and stretch marks when they are walking around outside.

    Edit:

Picture flabby guys walking bare-chested in the summer heat with sweat pouring down.  Man or woman it's equally unpleasant to be subjected to such a sight.   A little decorum is in order in public.  You can display whatever you want in the privacy of your own home but do not assault others with it.   It's sexual harassment and also visual pollution.

  8. yup

    Chippie said it

Tom...I'd get mad at you but I agree!(I dont want to see saggy ones either lol

  9. Ufortunately, our society is very immature this way...

Guys certainly aren't against this. It's not "illegal" but not socially accepted yet, and may never be. The women who decide to "pioneer" this are going to be groped and stared at. The groping they have a right to complain about, the staring, I'm afraid, is inevitable.

  10. ah i wished they allowed woman to do that...but that's just in my dreams...

  11. I think NOT!! Maybe in the old world countries but not over here in the good 'ol USA....I feel that men would take it as "hey I'm here and I'll do anything you want" and women would feel that you are a trashy ****.....

  12. Hey the last thing I want to see when I walk down the street is some women with her **** hanging out.  When I was in Germany and went to the optional topless beach we all (men and women) noticed one thing; the women with their tops off were never the ones you wanted to see topless.  Large women with saggy **** not what I want to see when I am out having lunch.

  13. Depends where you live.  I live in Ontario Canada and I believe we are allowed to do that...I never see women walking down the street without a shirt but I always see it at the beach.  Call your city hall and find out.

  14. Not with the current prudes in the US. Usually not even in France except at beaches of other limited places.

  15. No. Wear a tank top. That is cool enough.

  16. If you have really nice cans, You can walk down my street anytime you want.

Its the folks with (or have seen) saggy ones that made you cover them up.

  17. There is a town in Utah or Cali that allows women to be bare chested.  As a matter of fact if you look on yahoo there is a story about a woman who is fighting the town cause she wants to parade in the 4th of July but the town is saying that it is a family inviorment and she can't.

  18. Here in Toronto I believe it is legal but not socially acceptable as yet.

  19. I wish it were that way.

    b*****s are b*****s.

When you've seen one set, you've seen them all.

I totally agree with the breastfeeding statement!! It's too hot in the summer to cover a baby's head!!
