As an American, would I get UK citizenship if I married a Briish woman?

I want to move to the UK when I get a little older, because I'm only 16 now. What would be the best way to do this?

Jack, I hope the link below is useful. If you have never visited the UK before perhaps you might think about visiting first on a student visa. I love England but it sure as h**l isn't the country it once was. :0)

The best way would be to get the best education you can, in medicine if you can as they always need immigrant med workers! It isnt such a paradise over there though!

Well no because you would need to marry a BRITISH woman to get into Britain, I am not sure where you can go if you marry a Briish woman.

Some of you guys answering here are total a******s. He's sixteen. I doubt he's thinking about marriage right now. And he never said he'd be marrying for citizenship. Some people do it cause they're actually in love. I know, it's surprising for your tiny minds to comprehend that maybe people don't fall in love cause they're totally hot and want to sleep with them, rather that they love them for who they are. But it does happen. Freaky huh?

To answer your question again Jack, yes I'm pretty sure it gets you citizenship. Don't do it unless it's for love though. Prove these douches wrong. :/
