As an L1 visa holder, but NOT a Green Card holder, am I considered a 'US Person' under SEC Securities law?

More relevantly, under the 1933 Securities Act, would I qualify as a 'natural person resident in the United States'? I have a temporary US address (whilst I work here on the visa) but do not have, nor intend to get, permanent residency.

  1. No you are not. You are considered an a Legal Immigrant. But since you are on L1, you can definitely get your green card faster, provided your company considers you under an EB1 category.

    Hope this helps.
