Question:

As an atheist, if I give my life by blowing up an asteroid headed for earth, and I save humanity, will god...?

still send me to h**l even after I saved every single living thing on the Earth in an act of pure altruism and bravery?

At the very least, I hope they found a religion over me where people wear little rocket ships around their neck, and one day each year they put big boulders in their homes and decorate them with lights and popcorn, and little explosive charges.

  1. Unfortunately, it's the one Jesus was riding.

The explosion, while not killing Jesus, sends Him on a continual orbit around the sun.  He can be easily observed as He passes earth every third year.

That day will be recognized as a national holiday.

  2. Yes Mr. Willis you will die in your sin.  Mean huh?  By no works can a man enter into heaven.  Only through acceptance of his son and the remission of your sins will you enter Heaven.

As for your mock faith.  Funny stuff.  Save it for Christmas to ward off dumb questions that crop up at that time.

  3. He'd probably send you to h**l for stopping an asteroid he had directed at Earth.

  4. thats a good idea i want to wear a rocket ship do it in the name of pastafarianism so we can wear rocket ships and decorate meteors on the day you saved us

  5. afraid so...why do people think that God weighs your good deeds against your bad deeds like some kind of cosmic assayer.  It's all about perfection.  You gotta be 100% sin-free.

  6. Do you have a good heart? I guess if you did that then Id say you would. My personal opinion I dont see why someone who has a good heart would burn in h**l for eternity

  7. You will go to a wonderful place where people will tell you you are in Heaven. The problem is will you believe it? You may think there is a better Heaven for Christians ?

  8. Since you are dead as a result of your valiant efforts, you most likely will be brought back to life, via the resurrection of the righteous and unrighteous that Paul believed in. You then can decide if you want to continue your life and have your name in the book of life.

  9. Obedience is better than sacrifice. (1 Sam 15:22)

*Note:Works does not save! A common misconception of Christianity, is that good deeds should save us, therefore I don't need to believe in God or Christ. We are saved by grace but we must 1st obey the gospel of Christ.

You really don't understand what your asking.

I answered it assuming by h**l you meant what most people mean and that is the Lake of fire at judgment.

However, h**l (Sheol) (hades) is simply the grave. So to answer your question yeah you gonna die.

  10. Unless you accepted Christ in your final minutes, you're going to h**l.

  11. It would seem you are not a very "good" Atheist if you are looking for rewards from god...

  12. the christian god will... not sure about the opinion of other gods.

    mayor: ROFL.

  13. You would still spend eternity in h**l. You still would be a sinner. No amount of good works can make you perfect. Perfection is what is required from a perfect God. Amazing though is how saving the planet by giving up your own life can be easier for someone then putting faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior...

  14. Only God can decide to create a life or take a life. It's not up to an individual person such as yourself to decide. Read the bible it will tell you what you want to know about God. As an atheist you should know that you believe that there is no God and after you die, you believe nothing happens to you, you do not go to heaven and you do not go to h**l. In fact you don't believe that either exists. So this question you are asking is absolutely nonsense. As an atheist believer, you still can't answer one question, what happens after you die? You still don't know for certain the correct answer and you never will. Science won't take you there.

  15. Hey it's all right, I like you Bruce. Thanx for saving us.

  16. Apparently, yes.

According to the Christians, you can spend your whole life raping babies and strangling the elderly, but you'll still go to Heaven just so long as you accept Jesus before you die! 'Cause God is just so fair and just like that.

  17. Uh - let's first get past the IF.  Will you actually do that?  Or is this all just so much "hot air"?  We can promise to do anything, we can SAY we'll do things, but when the rubber meets the road, WOULD you really?  Are you even in a position to carry out your promise?  God doesn't care much for promise breakers, and God only deals with reality.  So you have to first deal with your IF.

Second, after you get past the IF part and it becomes a reality I would have to then ask you if you have kept God's holy law perfectly?  Let's find out.  If you don't mind, let's give you a simple test.  Ready?

First, have you ever told a lie?  (This would make you a liar.)

Do you like it when others lie to YOU?  (This would make you a hypocrite - you know, having a double-standard.)

Second, have you ever taken anything that didn't rightfully belong to you?  (This would make you a thief.)

Would you object if someone stole YOUR stuff?  (Again, we're looking at another case of hypocrisy - a double-standard.)

Have you ever looked at another person with sexual thoughts or desires?  Jesus said that if you even LOOK at another person like this, you're already guilty of adultery.

Have you ever been angry at someone (maybe because they did something to you), so that you had bad thoughts towards them?  Jesus said that God calls this murder.

If in the honesty of your own heart you had to say "yes" to these allegations, that would make you a lying, thieving, adulterous, murderous hypocrite!  (*OUCH*)

Now, add to that the answer to THIS question:  Do you think you're good enough to go to heaven without Jesus?  Up until 2 minutes ago, based on your question, you would have said "yes".  If you STILL say "yes", that would make you "self-righteous" and "holier-than-thou"!

NOW you become a self-righteous, holier-than-thou hypocritical lying, thieving, adulterous murderer!  (*DOUBLE OUCH*)

Now, in all honesty, do you REALLY think you should be allowed in heaven with THAT kind of record against you?

And I never even mentioned sins of attitudes, such as jealousy, envy, or greed!

Furthermore, God not only looks at your actions, but also your attitudes, thoughts, intentions and even your very motives!

God MUST judge sin, or heaven would quickly become as corrupt as earth, and infinitely MORE so.

He can judge those in THIS life if you give them over to Jesus and put your trust in Him and honestly repent (turn your back on) those sins by nailing them to the cross (spiritually speaking); or if you don't do it in THIS life, He can cast them into h**l in the NEXT life.

But if you hold on to those sins in THIS life, then in the NEXT life when God casts them into h**l, those very sins that YOU held on to in THIS life, will hold on to YOU in the NEXT life, and drag you, kicking and screaming, into h**l WITH them!

So, what do you think?  God does NOT want you to go to h**l!  He cried out in ONE place, "I do NOT take pleasure in the death of the wicked!"  He said that He doesn't want ANY to perish (in h**l forever), but that ALL should come to Him in repentance.  And in another place, He cried out, "Please choose Life, that you may live!"  (Jesus said "I am Life!")

So, again I ask, what do you think?  Will you accept God's offer to grant you an undeserved and unmerited pardon for your crimes (refer to the list I mentioned earlier) by putting your sincere faith in Jesus Christ, accepting His offer, and allowing Him to be the Lord (boss) of your life?  Or will you face God on judgement day, no matter WHAT kind of great sacrifice you made, knowing full well that you're guilty and must face the music?

WHY should God let you into heaven when you've rejected Him here on earth?  And why would you even WANT to go to heaven for all eternity, when you wanted nothing to do with Him here on earth?

Why should God allow you into heaven instead of sending you to h**l, when you've rejected Him, rebelled against His rightful authority to be the King in your life, and you've broken every last Law of His?  WHY?

  18. Heaven is not a reward for being good, nor is h**l a punishment for being bad.

It's a matter of do or did you want a relationship with God or not.

    It's that simple.
