Canada. Do I still need to file my last returns before leaving Canada for my new overseas job? Also, do I still have the right to purchase a home as rental property?

  1. What is your name and SS number, I'll call revenue canada and ask them for you.

  2. You really should have filed a tax return every year you were in Canada.

  3. You should file for all years .Once you become a non-resident you can still buy a property and rent it out.The rental income will still be taxable and will not change your non-residence status as long as it is rented to a third party (not related to you).
