Question:

As capitalism ravages the planet, when do you think Americans will finally retract and move to socialism?

EU is now the largest economic region on earth, unsurprisingly.

Individual competitiveness (which of course is devised, propogandized principle taught from pre-school in the US) aggravates public market trading, results in stockpiling and expenditure of natural and other resources to unneeded and nonsensical levels. Well, this is obvious.

Now that the earth is unrecoverably ravaged as result of this blatantly failed economic practice, how long do you think it will take Americans to harken back to their erroneous paths of choice, which date at least back to early 20th century when J. Wayland and E. Debbs made such costly personal sacrifice to offer the more responsible and neighborly directions of the socialist philosophy?

Well, that's the question. Yet, it is added that as U.S. capitalism also relies on the integrity of the religious right in maximizing contractual relationships, when will this group mature to the reality that individualism and religion are brash opposites?

  1. The American mental framework will never support socialism, as there is too much negativism surrounding it

  2. oh, it has started... just a matter of time to complete the process... ;)

Awesome statement!!!  "individualism and religion are brash opposites?"

personally, I am a libertarian and believe in the individualism concept!

  3. i didn't read your details just the main question...

but probably when we decide we want sub par health care... or better yet we could just go all the way to communism in hopes of being as environmentally as China

ok, just to clarify i'm not a gungho right winger, or even a republican for that matter. and i do think most socialist concepts sound great, on paper... however, until some politicians come around that are lacking in corruption enough to do things right, i'd rather not have them come f**k up my good health care, that i've actually put in time working for so some hippies and welfare mom's can further abuse the system and get by on a free ride

  4. americans used to be whole hearted capitalists but that was when an equally  strong communisim was there as a threat.

situations have changed now for that threat doesn't exists as before.

that makes me feel that lesser & lesser people in U.S tend to consider themselves capitalists. an ordainary us citizen sincerely consider's him/her'self not as a capitalist but in fact a true socialistc.

Consider, ur question: as capitalism ravages the planet , do................:?

now the ravage created & its quite a large scale ravaging but come to think about the reasons that we are told as justifications from the people responsible, it sounds incredules that the justifications always insist that they did what they did not to expand their industrial empires but to enable lesser previlaged people ; i.e non Us one's;  to come out of darkness & into the light that we are.

this justification's aren't that of a capitalist mindset.

on the contrary these rembelings are that of someone who consider's himself a philanthrophic soul's despite having a hidden reason of their own benefit's inside.

to pen down with one line to explain myself -  US leader's have already in an illusion of their being socialist's; a mistaken notion but equally strong enough to fuel their seemingly latent capitalistic factor.

so, US 1st have to get rid of the false notion of being a charitable establishment & accept them for what they are viz. a strong capitalist society wanting to police all. once that's done then of course it'll really embrace true socialism[not one from russia with love] & then strong US will really help global people & be an accepted big-bro for less prosperous one's.

  5. it won't recover.. the rich drive American politics through bribes.. they will continue to bribe politicians and the politicians will continue to act in the best interest of the rich..  meanwhile the rest of us will be pushed farther and farther down..  pretty soon there will be no middle class in this country..  it will be the 5% extremely wealthy and the 95% who are in poverty..  but the politicians STILL won't do anything to change it because as politicians they will be part of the privileged 5%..  those with money make the rules..  for example, the RIAA decided that sharing files is the equivalent of stealing and deserves harsh penalties.. they can decide this because their money gives them the power to decide it.. politicians simply go along with it because of the money they're receiving..  the whole system is corrupt, but I don't see it ever changing..

  6. Americans are still under the false belief that by becoming socialistic in certain things will bring us to full blown communism. For instance to properly socialize american medicine , make it available for everyone to get proper health care and be able to get the prescriptions they need. Would bring us closer to becoming Communists.

When in truth it would help the public and take the greed out of a system which everyone ,rich and poor , could benefit from.

Americans are so afraid of communism , that they would rather watch the country sink in disease than help its own people.
