  1. in XP it ts stored as a .SAM file in some folder in your system32 directory

but no chance of opening it

you cannot access it from within the operating syatem

    it is also encrypted

if you want to change the password get this tool

    http://home.eunet.no/pnordahl/ntpasswd/

burn it to a cd and boot your pc with the cd

it boots in linux and decrypts the file

  2. GO to control panel>system>advanced tab>userprofile>user accounts

  3.    Why would you want to know that?

The administrator is the owner of the computer you are using. Surely they have a right to privacy. If someone allows you to use their computer then, surely it is their right to protect themself!

  4. Exactly where it is saved will vary from one system to another.  Also, you can expect the password to be encrypted well enough that it is practically impossible to crack it.

  5. I would suggest using Ophcrack to find out the password.

  6. Net User command in cmd.

    Net user commands can be:

    Net user /delete usernamehere

    Net user /password usernamehere

    Net user /add usernamehere

This can be used to crack an admins password as well, not really hard at all.
