Also, how much value do you think the Rays could get in an offseason trade? I'd like to see them get rid of him.

  1. Andruw Jones. He used to be a lazy center-fielder with the Braves when he played.

  2. Derek Bell, when he came to Pittsburgh, Operation Shutdown!!!!!

  3. Oh my god you serious.....he is like 22 years old blazing fast great defender and has some pop in his bat and has a ton of potential....So the guy didnt run one out he was probably pissed how he hit it.....he already apologized give it a rest you obviously arent a rays fan because you would be crazy to want him to go......look at the Rays record......hmmmm.....gettn the point yet why would you s***w with something like chemistry when u lead one of the toughest divisions by three games

I know the rays are in first place and are most likely going to the playoffs for the first time ever sooooo if you are a Rays fan this is a very rare actually first time dream season but sure trade away a piece of a playoff team hes a professional baseball player they all think they are gifts from god....manny ramirez horrible attitude would you get rid of him? no way......If its not broken dont mess with it especially when your in first place

  4. barry bonds in pittsburgh

  5. Prime Time Deion Sanders.  those with a few years under their belts remembers Carlton Fisk almost burying Sanders at home plate at Yankee Stadium for standing in the batters box watching an infield pop up.  here was a guy (Fisk) who has hated the Yankees for his entire career, getting ready to kill a Yankee player for disrespecting the Yankee pinstripes by not running out a pop up.  Sanders tried to make it a racial issue after the game, but Fisk made it quite clear ...... Sanders was wearing the most hallowed uniform in all of sports and he disrespected it.  Crazily, most of the other Yankee players backed Fisk, and not their team mate.  Sanders thought his c**p didnt stink and thought he could skip and hop through a baseball career. the only difference between Sanders and Upton, is that Upton has LOADS of talent.  i think Upton will be just fine in the long run and i dont see the Rays giving up on him.

ps - Longoria is a freakin' STUD !!!!!!!!!

  6. Manny   ,   defensively

  7. Manny Ramirez. No respect for the game, his teammates, or the fans.

  8. Manny w/o the hair and a lot younger!!

As for a trade?? He's a great young player. I am sure they could get someone pretty good, like a right handed outfielder (since Jonny Gomes is a UFC fighter, not a baseball player) that they should have traded for this season.

  9. I would say that he reminds me of Rickey Henderson during his Yankees and "A's Part Duex" days.  He has fabulous talent and gets great results but still has an ego that is detrimental to the cause from time to time, Rickey would cruise on a fly ball and have it go past him because he was not in place at the right time.  This is the third time this year that he has been disciplined for this and he should have been disciplined in the past but nothing much was done about his temper.

As far as market value, it will be high, they will easily get a decent OF and some more pitching for him.  Many teams do not concern themselves with a person's attitude they just value the talent.  TB seems to be different in that way, Dukes and Young last year are prime examples.  Their front office has actually been pretty shrewd in trading for players and using talent to get level headed talent.
