  1. He has a great shot at it but it's certainly not definite cause Mussina & Burnett each have 16 wins followed by Dice K of the Red Sox & Halladay of the Blue Jays.  His era is lower than Mussina's but still kind of early to tell

  2. cliff lee stays good the rest of the season and he will get cy young award for the al

  3. Provided any big time collapses.....

    1. Cliff Lee

    2. Roy Halladay

    3. Dice-K

    4. Francisco Rodriguez

    5. Mussing/Saunders/E.Santana

  4. Cliff Lee is a guaranteed lock to win the AL Cy Young award.

*Let me say if voting were today it would be a guranteed lock!

  5. Barring a total collapse Lee should and will get it.

Paul V: C'mon we both know nothing in baseball is guaranteed, just ask the Yankees, and their fans. Many people thought a $200 million payroll guaranteed a playoff spot, now, not so much!

  6. So far, Cliff Lee is the best

  7. No. But it will be definite if he doesn't slump for a couple of weeks.

Matsuzaka has a good chance of winning it if he wins another 4 or 5 games especially since his value (14-2) on a winning team is undeniable, even though he is constantly in and out of jams.

Holladay, Saunders and Rodriguez has some chance, but I doubt Rodriguez will since his ERA isn't that good for a closer. The only reason why he's been considered is because the Angels give him at least 15 more save opportunities than any other closer in the game.

  8. Dice K has a chance he just needs to stop walking people and go deeper into games
