As far as the Global Warming, I think, that the black top roads of modern days are the culprits, because they?

The Black top Roads which are in use only for the past 60 to 70 years absorb and retain more heat from the Sun. These roads were not there earllier. Perhaps this may be the reason for the Ozone Hole in recent years. Am I correct?

  1. Scientist Implicates Worms in Global Warming

Jim Frederickson, the research director at the Composting Association has called for data on worms and composting to be re-examined after a German study found that worms produce greenhouse gases 290 times more potent than carbon dioxide.

Worms are being used commercially to compost organic material and is in preference to putting it into the landfill. The German government wants 45% of all waste to be composted by 2015.

"Everybody... thinks they can do no harm but they contribute to global warming. People are looking into alternative waste treatments but we have to make sure that we are not jumping from the frying pan into the fire," said Frederickson.

  2. No, blacktop itself isn't the cause of global warming / climate change.  The vehicles that drive on them have contributed, as have the number of trees / grassland destroyed for building roads, but they aren't the only cause.

However, blacktop has been shown to have a local affect on weather.  Between the absorption of heat, cities with lots of blacktop are normally several degrees warmer then surrounding areas during the summer.

So, although blacktop does have a local affect on weather, it has a negligible affect on global climate.

  3. No, you are lost in space.

  4. No.  The Ozone hole was caused by specific chemicals, same as global warming.

  5. NO!!!! the hole in the ozone is due to the magnetic field at the poles.

  6. Have you notice water levels are going lower ?   How much is being displaced elsewhere?

  7. No, you're not.
