Doomsday clock?  Have you been reading Piers Anthony lately?  I don't know of any physical doomsday clock.  sorry.  Can't answer this without more specifics.

The Doomsday Clock has been at 5 to midnight since January 17, 2007.

The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists introduced the Doomsday Clock in 1947 to portray the dangers of self-destruction. In their own words:

"The Doomsday Clock conveys how close humanity is to catastrophic destruction--the figurative midnight--and monitors the means humankind could use to obliterate itself. First and foremost, these include nuclear weapons, but they also encompass climate-changing technologies and new developments in the life sciences that could inflict irrevocable harm."
