As part of a civic society, How can i get involved into getting a law changed?

  1. For which jurisdiction?

    For a national law, contact your congressman or one of your two senators.

    State law?  Your state reps.

    County?   Supervisor.

    City or town?  Local legislative rep.

    To do-it-yourself, contact the city clerk's office, the county clerk's office, or the secretary of state's office.  Each will have a written procedure to bring forth a ballot proposal.
