As the World has actually been cooling for the past ten years can we hear no more about global warming ?

Yes I agree with you. The world goes through cycles every 50,000 years or so. This is just nature's way!

In one report I read, it said that global warming is not due to man made evils.

Mr. Gore must have been running out of money. I think he is doing lectures for a profit just like his buddy BILL!

How can someone be jailed for presenting data? Whether the information is wrong or right, you can't prosecute someone for publically analysing it.

If you put enough monkeys in a room with a football, sooner or later one of em will make a touchdown.  There has been billions of dollars wasted on the study of global warming.  So many world famous specialists have signed on to this theory that to admit a mistake would mean they have to admit they did it for the money.  The polar ice caps change all the time, if you document enough melting areas, you can justify anything you want.  Even averaging world numbers is an inexact science. Temperature measuring instruments have a factory accuracy. + or - 1/2 a degree is pretty good, and then only if they are re-calibrated every year. I wonder who calibrates them? Just a thought.

i am all for saving resources but there is a cycle of life.  

Think about this, if there were "tree-huggers" and the EPA a million or so years ago we would still have dinosaurs.

It's a fact that if you use up the carbon in the ground fast, it upsets the natural balance of the planet. Are you from the USA? They all deny global warming. They'll be like they were in WW2 and join in with everybody else to help save the planet once they think up a way to make a profit from it then claim it was their idea all the time and even have Hollywood films to show that it was all their idea and they did everything.

No one denies the world is warming, some happen to put the argument that a six billion population burning fossil fuels haven't contributed to it.

Quite up to date thank you, HMS Endeavour has just unloaded another team of scientists at the Antatartic to continue studies that have been going on for years. The teams include scientists from all nations. Michael W's point is valid  the Ice packs are melting. The North Pole's ice packs are not what they were. What of the North West Passage, is that not melting?

Perhaps you refer to the New Scientist article thet suggested certain cooling would precede warming. That was released about 18 months ago.
