As the elections heat up, shouldn't candidates address more important issues? ?

Now that the 2008 elections are in full swing, don't you think that it's difficult for voters to choose when all people are discussing is the candidates newly-stepped up mudslinging and failure to address important issues?

Palin is getting way more attention than she deserves, in my opinion. Let's talk about something else, please. Like, why do you think you're capable of leading America?

This talking down and who's PG and who's not isn't helping voters decide anything.

  1. I agree. I just listened to a morning of news shows & not one peep about major issues. It's like watching a bad soap opera.

  2. The candidates are addressing important issues.  The American public is too stupid to follow along.

  3. Democrats won't. They can't. To do so would show the Socialist agenda of their candidate, the huge increase in taxes and further bloating our the Fed Gov, and the increased control that they want to exert over every facet of our lives: schools, health care, business, travel.

  4. Most people sadly have the attention spans of five year olds. Unless it contains a juicy scandal, nobody is really interested in watching or listening.

  5. Both Sides needs to step up and start talking about what they plan on doing and how they plan on getting things done.

Right now it seems like a pie throwing contest.

  6. Agreed. Palin's getting too much publicity--especially with her daughter pregnant now! Want to know whats hilarious, I live in Wasilla (Sarah Palins hometown--my dad went to high school with her!) and like the day before her daughters pregnancy my cousin was at my house and we were talking about elections and she brought up that she heard it was a rumor that Bristol was pregnant-- and the next day it was all over the news!

Yeah, the candidates should be definitely be focusing more on important issues--but sad as it is some people are more interested in scandals like teen pregnancy than world issues.

  7. hopefully the debates will.
