I am very confused since watching the conventions. Both parties made excellent points. I have been reading everything I can about both parties. How does one choose a President? I'm not stupid, just confused.

  1. Really to simple to answer, but anyway....vote for Sarah and old what's his name?

  2. You choose a President based on what issues they support and will do for your country. McCain, on one hand, has voted with Bush 90% of the time, provides more tax CUTS for the RICH people, and has a VP who hunts wolves and bears from planes, and gives people bounty money for doing so. He also provides more of the same for the next 4 years..

    Obviously, I vote Obama. :P

    Obama/Biden 08

  3. Wow- To correct the person by me (You don't HAVE to vote today.  Unless you are going to have HALF a vote.  HAHA)

Anyway, make sure you are listening to the least biased opinion, which are far and few between.  You need to decide what you believe in and who supports that.

Ie.  Are you pro life or choice?  Life is Reps; Choice is Dems

Do you want to stay in Iraq?  Reps Yes; Dems No

How do you feel about NO Child Left Behind?  Like it Reps; Hate it Dems

Global Warming/Climate Changes?  Reps think there is no such thing; Dems work towards a better future

  4. Well, as you can see, the US is in a shambles after 8 years of Republican rule, and since McCain is a carbon-copy of George Bush, the decision is simple:

If You Want 8 More Years of Pain, Vote for McCain!

  5. Just make your decision based on the issues.

Surely you have an opinion about the economy, the war, abortion, etc.

Pick the guy that most closely reflects your opinions.

  6. Please don't listen to Erika. That was as biased a comment as I've ever read.

First off, I'm Republican but that doesn't matter because this is abotu YOU. Let me re-phrase what she just said, but a little more fairly.

MOST Republicans are pro-life, and MOST democrats are pro-choice. Not all, either way.

We all agree the war in Iraq should end. However, many Republicans feel that we must stay until everything is running smoothly, and feel that leaving now would cause chaos. Most Democrats, however, think that enough is enough and we need to be out now. Most everybody agrees with a little of both.

Most Repubs. want to drill for more oil until we figure out a cleaner fuel, some Democrats oppose it due to environmental reasons.

Some Democrats want universal free healthcare. Most Republicans think it would never work.

These are just a few examples and I've tried to be as fair as I know how to be with them. The best thing to do is to come to your own conclusion with what you feel, and don't let anyone decide for you. Learn all you can so that you'll be happy with your decision.

  7. The good news is that you don`t half to vote today

  8. Don't mix up what people SAY with what they actually DO. That's the whole thing with pollute-ticians.

    They ALL lie.

You got in trouble when you assumed that Political Parties should "run a country" and when you assume that the person called "President" is really "in charge" of anything besides the eyes of the people hes in front of.
