  1. The more we  get older ,the more we understand/realise life .It is natural . .But what we understand varies with others.

  2. I'm "older" and I understand life much better than when I was younger.

"If only I could go back in time, and know then what I know now!"  The most common lament of the elderly.

Experience, education, and acquired wisdom are the keys.  Examine your life frequently, and ask yourself "What have I learned so far?"  This is the seed of wisdom.

  3. I have started to think about that myself...just I never really could put it to terms.

    WOW...great question.

In my pschy class our teacher told us that scientist did study to measure the amount of depression a person has through out thier life. Like when they went to highschool, in college, after they mastered thier profession, and raised a family. ANd they found that the level of depression is exactly the same through outlife no matter what you do, even if you win the lottery.

SO i guess according to the study you do neither.

My Mom says she feels like she is the same person as she was when she was 25, except now she is tired and restless in her 60 year old body.

And also my 45 year old neighbor said the same thing on a different occasion which puzzled me.

So i guess you are still you, just your body hurts more and you can't spend time worring about lifes BS because your just too d**n tired.

  4. I understand life more. There's no doubt about that.

There is some feeling of giving up and coming to grips I guess, but I'd characterize it more as letting go, having learned how to suffer less.

  5. You begin to understand that you will never understand and you find that you can live with that.

  6. I can't speak for anyone else except myself.

The older I get, the more I realize that I know very little. When I was younger, the world was black and white and I thought I knew everything, or almost everything.

  7. A reconciliation to and understanding of one’s limitations, capacity and needs brings a peace to mans hectic and complex life. Emotional and intellectual ‘maturity’ is gained by circa the age of 28. By this time, the brains faculty has reached its full potential.

Thereafter he may gain knowledge and read much yet his perceptual ability, his aptitude for comprehension of his world has matured to its predestined stage or level.  He may then continue to battle with a world he has limited understanding of, or reconcile slowly to his lot and limitations.

Some will contest this view, but I hold firmly to it. I would not preach it for then it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy or a timed race which in itself defeats the learning process.

  8. I used to think that as people get older they understand life more, but unfortunately I was wrong.

  9. 2008 has been a bad year for me so far.  It's hard to come to terms with the strife that I have dealt with.

I'm not going to get into it at this point, but yes, I have learned to come to grips with the stress.  I just don't deal with it very well.

  10. I understand how much less I know, and am inspired to learn and do more.

Each day of the limited space-time event called my life.

  11. As we get older the tendencies have a greater hold than ever before

and many become bitter than they were in young and understanding of life is not directly proportional to age.

  12. Truthfully, it depends on the individual.

We all view and percieve things differently...

    I'd say it's about a fifty/fifty shot for everyone.

  13. Honestly I think it is a little of both! As we get older we do understand more, and yes we even come to grips with what is, or maybe we just tolerate it more!  Cheers!!

  14. I think it's a little of both. If you really explore and grow as a human and try to understand life and all it's complexity you will begin a wonderful path. You also have to learn to except things we cannot change. Make the difference where you can and continue to educate the folks you come in to contact with.

Good question though. Made me think of something important. Ta.

  15. who cares, even buddha needs money to run their religious belief too....imao. anyway, buddha's teaching has oredi getting more obsoleted liao.... i think Christ and Allah are more practical and logical sense because they were born on the same day.

but i dun deny your reasoning cos this is what i think.
