As which is great are Hyundai and Toyota thought?

Toyota is the largest manufacturer of vehicles in the world. It was  just reported this week that Toyota had surpassed General Motors in sales so far in 2008. They are known for reliability. Hyundai is the largest car company in Korea and is the fastest growing of the major manufactures. They are known for excellent value. Toyotas, as a general rule, would be considered better cars. They usually get the best fuel mileage in any given class and are more reliable than Hyundai. That being said Hyundai is vastly improving with every new model and Toyota might need to be looking over their shoulder.

I was just going to say from experience Nissan is great,takes a l*****g and keeps on going! Toyota is great too.It is sad we have no cars in price range that can claim that.

Yeah, Hyundai recently surpassed the best car of Toyota with the release of their Genesis sedan.  Since Hyundai doesn't have a luxury offshoot brand like Lexus, the Genesis, Azera and Veracruz keep the Hyundai brandname, but have no problems taking on the Lexus products.  The Azera is better then Toyota's Avalon and Lexus ES330 and the Genesis outclasses the Lexus GS430.  Both are excellent companies that rank #2 and #6 in worldwide sales for 2007.  You'll be happy to own a car/suv by either brand, add Honda to your list too, these are the top 3 brands right now with Nissan #4 IMO.
