As you progressed in your pregnancy, did your baby's movements hurt?

I'm 30 weeks and 6days pregnant and my baby's movements are starting to hurt. I can see her streching out my belly. Although it's cute and neat to watch, I'm like "ouch that hurts"! She also gets in my ribs somtimes! If I start to rub on that spot she normally moves a little!

Did it hurt the further along you go? Thanks for answering!

  1. Heck yes!

I used to be all 'naw, the baby is kicking' and now it's "OW, Holy c**p the baby is moving!"

A lot of movements do hurt! (Which doesn't say a lot of my pain tolerance levels!)

  2. I am a CCMA and a mother of 3 now teenagers all born by C-Section

Yes it is normal and yes it may hurt more as your pregnancy progresses and you prepare to deliver... One of my daughters use to stretch the heel of her foot you could see it and feel it on the side of my belly.. I also use to get really bad vaginal pains which felt like she was sticking her foot out of there as well... It is normal

  3. My daughter I'm sure was trying to kill me sometimes lol. She would kick and punch and twirl and as she got bigger it got worse and worse!

She'd get her foot under my ribs in the same spot everytime and would push her foot out so hard it brought tears to my eyes. I'd rub her foot and try and push it down and eventually she would move it down and you could see a big foot sticking out from under my ribs. It was funny but painful.

She used to stretch alot but suddenly where in one second I'd be not knowing which way to move because I had major pressure on my pelvic area but couldn't breathe from pushing up on my lungs. Weird.

I noticed she would kick ALOT when I would play certain types of music or cook certain foods.

Other times she'd be quiet all day hardly moving at all but the moment her dad got home she would kick the h**l out of me. She would do that with my brother too, but sadly he passed away :(

  4. 2 noticeable things-

1- much bigger and firmer movements (its good it means she's/he's healthy and strong!)

2- Broken sleep, a lot less sleep and you wonder why cos you feel so tired (but at least its practice!)

  5. Congratulations to all you moms to be!!!!! My Kids are 20,18,16 and 14. Reading all your stories of Pain and pleasure is bringing back all those old memories. You Ladies are making me scared all over again and I'm not even pregnant LOL.I started getting nervous for all of you just thinking about labor again. HAVE FUN!!!!!! It's grandma time for me LOL. GOOD LUCK to you all ,and may GOD give you all HEALTHY,BEAUTIFUL BABIES.

  6. Oh my goodness yes! LOL

I would stare at my tummy for hours at night watching my kids move.  It kept me up at night and it felt like my daughter was kicking straight out of my v****a.  She was 9 lbs and 22 in long so she had no room!  I would feel her in my back and it definitely gets more painful the more they grow!  Good luck to you and congrats on your baby!

  7. Right now I am 33 weeks and feel like I can't stretch anymore.  Everytime he kicks I want to cry because it just hurts so bad and I wake-up feeling bruised.  He has kicked so hard I about fell.  I know with my other two pregnancies by 32 weeks I was in a lot of pain and it just got worse the bigger they got.

  8. HI yes it does as the further along you are the baby gets crammed inside and does not have much room to move around, I can tell now at 28 weeks pregnant with this baby that he/she is starting to get up higher to my ribs. as I remember with my 3 kids it was not a fun thing to go through, so I'm not looking froward to it! But yea you can try to get the baby to move by pushing, but really when the baby is so crammed in side its hard for the poor baby to move with no room! But GL and just think we are almost there! we are only 3 weeks from each other so GL !!!:)

  9. yes and less sleep!

  10. No my baby's movement feels very strong now but not painful.

  11. gawd yes! especially with my last baby, Chandler was my biggest baby and since i'm a small woman i thought i was going to explode! the nite time is the worst but always remember it only takes 9 months, at least that is what i kept telling myself.

  12. yes, and it will get worse. Just wait until she does that all night long and you get no sleep!

  13. yes wait till she turns when your near the end its great to watch like you said and you can see feet move across your belly lol my son turned around at the last minute it hurt he turned transverse and a couple of days later went back

  14. I'll be 25 weeks tomorrow and it hasnt actually "hurt" yet but I know im getting close to that because it's very uncomfortable. I can feel her moving and sometimes feel alot of pressure from it.

This morning, I woke up needing to pee and when I tried to sit up in bed, I felt so much pressure on my bladder is was very painful. I couldn't even get up for a few minutes because everytime I moved, it was like a stabbing pain. When I finally did stand up, I felt like the pee would just rush out of me there was so much pressure on my bladder but she did move before I could even get to the restroom and that eased up the pressure tremoundously.
