Asatir set to stretch winning streak in Betfred The Bonus King Stakes
Asatir will be eying to continue his dominant run in the sport, by winning the Betfred The Bonus King Stakes (Handicap) at Goodwood in England on Thursday, August 2, 2012. A victory in the class-2 event will earn him a cash prize of £28,013 in the end.
The weather in England has been good for racing over the past few days, thus the going will be good in the 1 mile, 1 furlong and 192 yard event, which is scheduled to start at 14:15 GMT.
A total of 18 runners have been attracted towards the race, but none seems to be in a position to match the skills of Asatir, who is carrying an excellent momentum right now. He has been priced 7 to 1 by the bookies and will definitely get the attention
of the punters.
The young runner has not been beaten in his career until now. If he continues performing like this, it will be difficult for others to come in his way. However, he needs to work extremely hard in order to become one of the modern greats such as Frankel and
Black Caviar.
Elusive Quality’s son has taken part in just three events in his career so far, but has managed to maintain a 100 percent winning percentage. He debuted in July 2011 and was rated as one of the joint favourites for his first outing.
The three-year-old colt was impressive back then and took the top spot by half a length. His speed was good, but got the lead towards the final moments.
This performance was more than enough for the Saeed Bin Suroor’s trainee to get the attention of the bookies in his next race as well. Although he had to fight hard that time around, yet he did not disappoint anyone and won by a head distance in the end.
In the ongoing season, Asatir has represented his team in just one race. He was given the best odds for victory in it and was competitive once again, winning by a head distance. This victory was his third one in a row and was always ridden by a different
jockey. This time, he will pair up with the veteran rider, Frankie Dettori.
