Asbestos in 1975 popcorn ceilings?

i want to scrap some popcorn ceilings smooth in my 1975 home. should i be worried about asbestos?

I just finished a remodel on my house and we scraped all of the popcorn ceilings.  The dust and asbestos will make you cough, but the dust will wear off in about a month ( I know it did for me).  THe asbestos is dangerous for your lungs, but it being up on the ceiling has the same effects as it being scrapped off.  

I really suggest you have your ceilings scraped.  Asbestos can harm you, so the sooner it comes off your ceiling the better, also, my house now  look great there is no eyesore when you look up; just smooth ceilings.

Yes.Asbestos was an ingredient in popcorn texture up to 1976.

You really should get an abatement contractor to remove it for you.Otherwise just leave it alone.It is thought to be not harmful if the fibers are not airborne.

Why not have it tested?  Save yourself worry and abatement!
