  1. Customer assistant is fine but put either full or part time or just sales assistant is fine!!

Hope you get the job as i know how hard it is to find one lol!!

  2. stock controller

  3. Shelf filler

  4. STOCK CONTROL

    OR

    TILL OPERATIVE

  5. The Boots™ Version is Operations assistant

  6. Shop floor assistant.  I used to work for ASDA and they tend to use that phrase as it can cover a wide range of jobs that they may offer you.

The interview process is pathetic, ASDA are part of the U.S company WalMart and like most things we are told by the yanks what we should do, so they adopt a false smile ' have a nice day' approach not the way we do things here, anyhow, at the interview they get you to participate in stupid TEAM building games (Together Everybody Achieves More) dont you believe it. At my interview you had to build towers out of blocks, the highest tower that team wins. Then you have to shout answers to stupid questions staff ask who's the best supermartket  you have to shout TESCO's  (only joking) ASDA, cant hear you ASDA, still cant hear you etc... get my drift? What a load of old tosh. They wont treat you any better, but go for it if you want to be embarrassed especially in front of mates at same interview. I left due to depression at work. Unless you are creep dont expect promotion on to stepping stones management, coz unless you will work 24hrs a day 7 day week dont even go there. You have more chance in seeing the queen mother walking down your local high street (not much chance of that) They make you feel like you are doing a good job so they dont have to do it (managers that is, they are lazy sods sit in admin or canteen, oh yeah be down in minute six years later you might see 'em.

  7. My sister works at Asda and she is a collegue (think I spelt that right)

  8. Hi I would put down that you want to apply for a position as a stock replenisher or stock movement as it looks more proffesional. if you put down a shelf stacker it looks a bit common and you may not get an interview as they might think you only think of the job as a shelf stacker and nothing more, they want you to use technical terms because if you put down stock movement it looks like you know more about the job than you might do.

  9. Erm... Shelf filler?

    Stock control?

  10. I work part time at staples and my position states, 'sales assistant' and I do everything, work on the tills, work in the warehouse, make sure every customer is happy, put stock on the shelves, and sell c**p.

I think you should put sales assistant on your form and then if you get an interview then say what you want to do in store.

In asda the positions are probably, sales assistant, part time sales assistant, manager, team leader ect. The application form doesn't affect your contract which you get after the interview where you would have said then in person what you want to do.

    Good luck
