Asda job application?

i sent two application form off for asda to work through the night,ie sunday night to thu night and both letter came back regret to say your application will not be progressing further

I was told that if you dont use the right words on the bit that asks you why you want the job you wont get an interview. You need to put team, Asda, colleague and customer service in there. Also you need to make sure that you tear off the instruction bit too.

You may just not be suitable for the job. If i remember correctly, you have multiple choice part of the form, each answer will have points which you cannot see, you have to choose the answers which will add up to enough points for the job. There is no wrong answer but you would have had to to score enough points to get through for an interview. I'm sorry to hear you were not successful, but I'm quite average of intelligence and a mother of 2 already working another part time job back then, I didn't get through either a few years ago.

It's true - Asda says that mini questionnaire thingy isn't important but it's crucial if you want to get a job there. I worked for them for about 5 years, it's all done on a points system - Asda is all about teamwork and co operation and departments working together, so if you answered that those points werent important then im afraid you wouldn't get the job. Besides, half the policy/interview process doesn't work anyway,  and if my store was anything to go by, around half of the staff were in management anyway so hmm...lots and lots of  work for us little people. Keep trying for other jobs and good luck for the job hunt.
