  1. ASDA price.................asda fine. what a shame lmaooooooooooooooooo

    TESCO ROCKS

  2. you did the crime now pay up

  3. I take it they've not read "how to p*** off your customers in one easy lesson". I DON'T park in disabled bays, but come on - get a life ASDA!

Say you got a £60 fine for parking in a D.B....would you EVER shop there again? No - you'd be off to Tesco / Sainsbury's etc.

What they REALLY need is special bays for 'sh1tty cars' and their drivers...I'm fed up of having my doors dented by scum in their 1992 Escort / Astra that's worth about £30.

  4. Yah Asda!! I'm a mum to a 6 month old and can I point out to some people its not the fact that we don't want to push our prams that little further its the space between cars so we can get the children out...!! I'm sure no one wants there car banged with the door esp if you've only got a 3 door car!!!

Also the extra space is handy for us nappy brained mums to get in and out of spaces!!!!

What also annoys me is the drivers who are waiting in the cars in either mum and baby or disabled waiting for someone to come out Sit in another space and move out of it when you see whom ever coming that way you free up the space for others!!

  5. Clamps?? Its their land so the can charge people to park there if they want. Dont want the fine?? Park in the correct spaces!!!

  6. You should bear in mind that any fines ASDA collect from this will go to charity.

They are not trying to make money for themselves out of this (which would have put me against this idea), only to make shopping easier for the disabled and parents with young children. So count me in favour!

  7. Tough! Its there land. If it was me I would clamp the cars. Tow them away & charge the owner £500 to get there car back. Its just having a bit of respect for people that use the spaces for what they are meant for. People are lazy & selfish. it would not bother me if the parent & toddler spaces were furthest away from the entrance to the shop. Its the space i need to get my 10week old daughter in her ly down flat car seat out.  If I use a normal space I have to leave the car parked half way out of the space. Take the entire car seat out. Then drive the car fully in to its space.

Do you know what I am feeling really petty after seeing some of the responses to this question. I might start keying cars in parent & toddler spaces if they have no car seats or booster seats in them. All those expensive mecs, range rovers etc.....

When it comes to selfish people I really do not care anymore.

    .

  8. its to do with customer relations....it their way of saying how much they value you as a customer....

  9. Asda can set CHARGES for use of their car parks, but cannot issue FINES.

Their car parks are not public highways or public property, and they are not local authorities.

What exactly are they going to do when a vehicle is to be 'fined'? Write to the registered owner and demand that the driver of the vehicle is identified to them under pain of prosecution? Obtain registered owner details from the PNC?

  10. I agree that it's Asda's land and they can do what they want.

There needs to be some strict guidlelines set in... One in particular that needs to be rectified and confirmed, is the fact that DISABLED folk take priority over people with kids!

I have a friend who is on disability coz she has rheumatoid arthrtitis, and she has a blue badge, coz she struggles to walk and carry stuff.  Someone said 2 posts down that disabled badges are easy to get and that 10 million people have them!

She did NOT get her blue badge easily, and I don't know where anyone would get the idea that 10 million people have them.... can anyone provide proof of this.....?  It's the first *I* have heard of it!

Anyway, there was no disabled spaces at Asda, so she used a child space, as disabled take priority over people with kids and you can park ANYwhere with a blue badge - even on double yellows.

And when she came back to her car after doing her shopping; a man in a car with his girlfriend and baby went ballistic at her for having the temerity to use one of "HIS" spaces.

She said, 'I am disabled and there was no disabled spaces; if you have a problem with this, go see the store manager."  He said 'you don't look very disabled to me you fat cow.' and she was really upset.  this cretin had no idea how much pain she suffers day in and day out...

So because of this, I would like to see people parking in DISABLED spaces fined heavily for sure...  So there does need to be some kind of rules... And dickheads like the one my friend encountered need to be educated in the fact that disabled people need to be closer to the store much more than people with kids - who are quite capable of walking...

As for the people who take child spaces when they have no kids; it will come back on them, when they have kids...

  11. Thats why I shop at Tesco.

    God, I HATE Asda.

  12. People should just respect the designated places for the people thay are intended for.

    End of problem

The trouble is today there is a huge surge of f**k it I do what I want.

    Bad news!

  13. haha....have they? better right my parking behaviours then.

  14. hi

i was listening to the radio a few weeks ago and it said it was either asda or tesco had fined a pregnant woman for parking in a mum and child space, radio presenter was arguing with manager of the shop that because the lady was pregnant she was okay to park in that space, because in effect she had a child it was just in her tum, in the end the manager let her off with the £30 ish fine, they have people now patroling car parks looking for offenders so be warned.

  15. oh my goodness dont get me started on the parking trip I was almost in an altercation today this woman was packing her stall she was the last one on the council run car park and we dared to try and use the car park before she had vacated she was very very abusive  but me  I stayed calm as you like and moved on  honest they think that they own the world instead of a little bit of tarmac

  16. Some people feel there are way too many spaces allotted for handicapped parking, while others feel just the opposite. Here are some reasons why handicapped parking spaces are needed:

A person's physical condition makes walking long distances nearly impossible.

It would be very dangerous for a wheelchair user to traverse a parking lot, being at a height not visible to cars backing out of spaces.

A ramped or lift-equipped vehicle needs extra side space for ramp deployment.

  17. I think people in wheelchairs that are classed as disabled should no way be allowed reserved spaces, they're sitting down! They are not using any energy! Many people claim they don't want to be treated diffirently yet they take up nice things like this?

Also parents and children deffinitly need the wider spaces but why near the door, if there child isn't able to walk they would be in a buggy that is not hard to push, they walk up and down high streets so why can't they walk over a car park.

I think if they are very unable to walk across a car park then they should have a carer to do there shopping.

I do have respect but there are some very ignorant people out there that take the p!

If they gave me a fine i would not pay it so they would have to take me to court!

  18. Asda property is private property so they will get an outside enforcement company to hand out tickets. These tickets are legal and if not payed you will eventualy end up in court.

  19. Hey, does that mean I can clamp people that park to the entrance to my driveway as thats private land. Maybe I can employ a OAP that looks like Hitler with a wheel clamp, £50 a time. Cool !

  20. Here in the U.S. the police are called and the driver of the car is given a ticket.  In my area it is $50.00 to $100.00 fine.

  21. I agree with asda.  If you are ignorant enough to get the fine, then you deserve it.

They will employ a firm to hand out fines.  If someone kept parking and not paying i suppose that aswell as ending up in court you could be banned from shop.

However some with disabled badges also break law, when a designated driver uses it without actuallyhaving the 'owner' in the car.

Cant understand why any able bodied person would use the disabled / parents spaces.

  22. destoy the pay machines strap fireworks to them then run fast away from it

  23. Tesco in Rotherham already fine you up to £60 if you park for more than 2 hours.

  24. It would take a court of law to fine me. Not a second-rate supermarket!

  25. One of the problems with disabled badges is that an astonishing TEN MILLION Brits have one - that's a whopping 1 in 6 - clearly lots of people are playing the system. If such a large proportion of the population is "disabled" then we clearly have problems, like who will do all the work? What will happen if ALL of them want to park at the same time? There aren't 10 mllion disabled spaces nationally!

The badges need to be harder to get.

I would get rid of parent and child spaces. It doesn't bother me, we are fit enough to have children, and so fit enough to push the pram a little farther from the shop doors!

Remember some stores in busier parts of town already charge people to use the car park, and only reimburse them if they spend a £5 minimum in the store.

  26. I got told to move from a disabled bay in a Tesco car park.

I was on crutches at the time as my leg was in plaster. But the Brain Dead Morron of a Security Officer said (and I quote) "You don't have a DISABLED BADGE" Beggers Belief.......

I did make a complaint in person to the store Manager and he said "The Security Officer is just doing his job" ...... Obviously another thick TWIT....

WHY a THUMBS down........... Do you agree with Tesco ???

  27. they'll employ some little hitler (ex traffic warden) to go round with a little pad putting fines on the windscreen
