Kevin Pietersen fined for speeding through Victoria
It has been two days since Australia slumped to an astonishing innings and 79 runs defeat against England in the second Test match at Adelaide. However, the cricketing world continues to talk about the glorious play of Her Majesty’s
team and the poor performance by the Kangaroos.
Cricket fanatics all over the world are amazed at the apparent downfall of Australia and are secretly dancing a celebratory jig over the fact that Ricky Ponting might be facing the axe.
On the other hand, the Australian media and fans are confused and shocked over the fall of their beloved team. Cricket Australia is clearly in a mess. They don’t know who to pick and drop for the next Test that will begin from
the 16th of December in Perth. If this was not enough, rains are threatening their bid to even draw the Ashes series.
The Aussies are so desperate for finding the right combination for their squad that they have started a campaign to bring back leg-spinning legend Shane Warne back to the team. So much so that some businessmen from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Queensland-c834 offered
the retired bowler $1 million to take part in the Perth Test. Warne graciously took in the sudden hoopla for his services and conceded that “it is very flattering to hear those words.”
So what can http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 do next? Maybe ruin the pitch and make Kevin Pietersen so angry that he gets himself caught up in more Twitter rants and gets suspended by the England Cricket Board (ECB)?
Or maybe offer the person a Lamborghini to bribe him into causing less havoc in the next Test match? A car dealership did just that, but it is not known whether it was a part of some conspiracy. The catch here is that the legendary
Warne arranged the deal.
A local Aussie car dealership loaned a £300,000 bumble bee yellow sports car to Pietersen on Wednesday. As Piertersen’s teammates kicked-off their training session at the Melbourne Cricket Ground to prepare for a three-day match
against Victoria that starts from Friday, Pietersen was given a day off so that he can roam around in the very cool Lamborghini.
So Pietersen drove along the world’s ‘most picturesque’ motorways of the world, the Great Ocean Road outside of Melbourne. It was a calm, scenic day as Pietersen took beautiful pictures and posted on his Twitter account.
But the beautiful day turned sour as when he was returning back, he was pulled over by a police car. Pietersen was fined for travelling 121 kph in a 100kph speed zone along the Geelong ring road.
A spokesman for the ECB confirmed the news saying that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Victoria-c859’s Police had detected the car and issued Pietersen with a penalty speeding along with the “loss of three demerit points.”
It seems that the Aussies are just out of luck as they might have hoped that Pietersen gets jailed for ten days so that he does not repeat his match-winning performance at Adelaide in the rest of the series.
