She gleefully consolidated her outstanding win, 6-1, 6-0, against the lower ranked professional on the eve of Thursday in nearly 46 minutes.
The world number 183, Barty, commenced the match at a very positive note and skilfully journeyed forward with a strong resolve to win. She cashed on the Japanese challenger’s twice i.e. in the second and fourth game respectively.

In the second set, the 30-year-old, Namigata was unable to preserve her initial lead. The seventh seeded Aussie nudged forward with a strong determination in order to secure her destined win. Nonetheless, she played with poise
and encountered all the retaliation from the underdog competitor. Barty proved to be more resolute as she did not let her opponent cash away even a single opportunity and swiftly registered her win in the match with a 6-0 score line.
