Ashley Young hopes to help Manchester United go all the way - Premier League News
Manchester United recently went on to complete the signing of Ashley Young from Aston Villa. The winger, who had been running the show for Villa, had gone on to hint that he needed a much bigger challange, which he just wouldn’t be able to get at the Villa
Park.
As a result, Young refused to put pen to paper on a contract extension with the team, which resulted in Manchester United coming in and landing the player.
Following his move to the club, the winger has gone on to be a part of the United pre-season tour. During his participation in the pre season matches, the winger has gone on to impress nearly everyone with his performances.
Young now wishes to take these performances into the coming season with United and feels that the confidence that he has now managed to develop, will help him compete with almost anyone.
When talking about how his mentality has changed, Young has gone on to state: "I’ve always had confidence in myself and believed that I could play at the highest level.”
"Some people said I couldn’t [play at United’s level], but they also said I couldn’t play for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749. That doesn’t bother me, though – I’ve got confidence in myself to know that I can do it."
The player then went on to admit that knowing of United’s interest in him caused him to act out at Villa and eventually end his career with at the Villa Parl.
He continued: "At the time we were in a bit of a sticky situation at Villa and in a battle to stay up, so the clubs said they’d talk again in the summer and see where things were at.
"There were other clubs interested but as soon as I heard about the interest from United I just wanted to get here and sign. I knew it was the right club."
To be honest, no one blames Young for wanting to quit Villa and join United. Aston Villa, at the best are going to end up finishing in a Europa League spot at the end of the coming few seasons, while United are going to go all out and compete for nearly
every trophy out there.
Young has spent far too much time being the player who carries a team on his back and it is now time for him to prove what he can do, when the burden of the team moving forward is shared amongst a number of players.
According to most experts, Young is going to break out this coming season and produce some memorable performances, which are going to help United go all the way.
