The Manchester United has come out and said that the Red Devils can overcome their 3-2 loss at Old Trafford that they suffered at the hands of Athletic Bilbao at their home stadium and progress into the quarterfinals of the
Europa League by winning in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011...
Manchester United suffered a surprise defeat at Old Trafford in the first leg of their round of 16 match against Athletic Bilbao as the Red Devils failed to impress despite having home comforts. Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson’s team were outplayed
by Bilbao in the second half and for most of the first half as well and it was http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-de-Gea-c10463 who kept them in the game for most instances of the encounter.
With the second leg scheduled to take place against Bilbao in Spain on Thursday, United now have a huge task ahead of them to not only win in Bilbao but also win by a convincing margin to secure their place in the final eight of
the Europa League.
Sir Alex Ferguson has time and again reiterated the fact that United want to do well in the Europa League and win it if possible but his team selection last week showed that the Red Devils’ manager had one eye on the weekend fixture
against West Brom. It still remains to be seen if he will go with the same strategy this time around.
Young said, "It is unusual that we find ourselves in this position but there is a great team spirit here and everyone is full of confidence. Our form in general makes us believe we can score wherever we play. Our attacking play
has been fantastic of late and we believe we can score the two goals we need."
He added, "Our focus has not changed from the start of the season. We want to win every competition we enter and the Europa League is no different. Bilbao were an impressive team last week. They were a very attacking team, had
a good team shape and at times we found them hard to break down. But I am sure if we are on our game 100 per cent we can go there and get the win we need."
