Ashley Young wants to win titles with Manchester United – EPL News
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ashley-Young-c6813 has claimed that he has always dreamt of joining a great club like Manchester United, who fight for the titles almost every season and wants to win his first winner’s medal with the Old Trafford club.
Young completed his transfer to Manchester United from Aston Villa for a reported £17 (€19) million yesterday.
Manchester United dethroned Liverpool’s status of being the most successful English club after the Red Devils won a record 19th English Premier League title last season. The Red Devils also enjoyed a dominating run in the UEFA Champions League
but ended up as runner-ups after losing to Barcelona in the final.
The 25-year-old winger hailed United’s winning mentality and is proud to be a part of Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson’s title-winning squad.
“They have been a fantastic team for a long time. They produce great players and are always in there fighting for leagues and cups. They have that winning mentality and as a player I have always wanted to be the best I can and to have challenges,” added
Young.
Young is aware that he would have to work hard to establish himself in Ferguson’s starting eleven but he is determined to get a starting berth by giving impressive performances. The former Aston Villa winger, who has never won any title in his career, is
also relishing the opportunity to get his first medal with Manchester United the next season.
He said, “To come to a club like this you are always going to have challenges. I want to win titles and leagues and hopefully I can be part of that this time.”
Young also revealed that he is very excited to start his life at Old Trafford. But, the English international will have to wait until July 4, when Manchester United kick-off their pre-season. Seven days later, the Red Devils will go on a US tour to play
friendly matches which also includes an unofficial match with the Spanish Champions, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604.
Young added, “We are back on July 4 and I can't wait. I can't wait to go on tour. The US tour sounds amazing. I can't wait to start playing games.”
Young, who came through Watford youth ranks, enjoyed a successful four-year tenure at Aston Villa. The 25-year-old scored 30 goals in his 157 appearances at the Villa Park.
Young became Manchester United’s second signing of the summer transfer following the transfer of defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385 a few days earlier.
