What are the main key points contributing to first China's and second India's success?

Which country do you think will succede as the world's top nation?

Please highlight major problems of both.

-Booming population

-Relatively low wages (= low cost of doing business)

-Increasing education and technology

In the end it will be China on top, I believe.  They have so many people it will be hard to stop them.  Just the size of their educated elite is nearly the size of the entire US population.

The major problems will be similar in both countries.  The main problem will be the loss of the US's political and economic clout, which will turn all Americans into a bunch of whiney brats.  Seriously though, the real main problem will be a lack of environmental standards, which will allow producers in those countries to pollute the environment and therefore make their goods at a much lower economic cost (but higher social cost) than their Western competitors.
