Asia Cup 2012: Bangladesh hoping to cause an upset against India, says http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohammad-Nasir-Hossain-c77146 – Cricket News Update
Nasir Hossain, the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 cricketer is confident of causing an upset in their Asia Cup match, when his side goes up against the defending champions India on Friday, March 16, 2012, at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur.
Hossain is hoping to put a leash on the Indian batsmen so they do not fly away with the game. The Bangladeshi batsmen will fancy their chances if their bowlers manage to restrict the Indian’s below 270.
The 20-year-old said, “We are confident about the next game against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 and we are looking forward to do something good. It would be good game if we can restrict India within 260 to 265 runs on this wicket and I'm confident that's possible for us.”
Hossain believes that Bangladesh has what it takes to beat the opposition; the only thing they lack is the ability to finish games. The all-rounder has urged his side to develop these skills.
He said, “I think we should improve in this area and we are trying to do that. We went close on several occasions and then lost. We will try not to repeat it.”
India is one of the favourites to win this year’s Asia Cup. The Men in Blue kicked off their Asia Cup campaign by defeating http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 in the second game of the tournament and will look to register a place in the finals by winning their next fixture.
Bangladesh suffered a different fate than that of their Friday opponents. In the opening game of the Asia Cup, they lost to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bengal-c771 Tigers showed great resilience in that match but despite all their best efforts, they ended up on
the losing side.
Hossain, who put a solid stand of 89 runs with skipper Shakib Al http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hasan-c61990 thinks that it was his rash shot that cost his team the match, as he should have stayed till the end.
The 20-year-old said, “I was a set batsman, so my dismissal was the turning point in the match. I shouldn't have got out at that stage of the match but I think I played a bit casually.”
