The http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Cameron-James-Borgas-c49157 for the much hyped four nation Asia Cup tournament went on sale in Bangladesh on March 6, 2012. Citi Bank limited, the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s official partner is handling the distribution of tickets for the upcoming matches.
The participating teams have already started arriving in the host country. The first match is scheduled to be played on March 11, 2012, between http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755. The final will take place on March 22, 2012.
The Citi Bank Limited has prior experience of carrying out distribution responsibilities for high profile cricketing events like the World Cup and the recently concluded Bangladesh Premier League. Currently tickets are being sold through 21 branches of Citi
Bank in Bangladesh.
Like the other cricket playing nations, the craze amongst the public for cricket is high in Bangladesh as well. Buying the tickets is by itself an important event before the actual contest take place between the competing teams.
Long queues outside the authorised bank are normal, and the windows are witnessing extra activity, as the fans are eager to buy the tickets. Fans have to wait for long hours to earn the right to watch the game between their favourite teams in the stadium.
Similarly, the sponsors are also waiting for such high profile tournaments. It is an opportunity for them to communicate with the public in an effective manner. It also helps them to create awareness and retention regarding their brand name.
Micromax Informatics Limited has won the sponsorship title for the current Asia Cup. Therefore, the tournament has been named the “Micromax Asia Cup 2012”. All official announcements and communication will mention Micromax.
The efforts by any other company or brand to associate itself in any form or way with the tournament would be illegal. This provides the legal cover to the sponsoring organisation which has paid money and restricts third parties to leverage the ongoing event
for promotional purposes.
As the ticket sales continue, the participating teams are preparing for the much awaited contests against the fellow Asians. Since passes are limited, only the lucky ones who have the courage to stand and wait in long queues would get the tickets.
