Asia XI vs World XI – Asia XI won by six wickets – Match Update
Sanath Jayasuriya-led Asia XI comfortably triumphed over World XI by three wickets in a charity match, termed as the T20 All Stars Game, on May 12, at Rogers Center, Toronto.
The exhibition game featured a host of international players from all major playing nations, as well as ICC’s Associate and Affiliate member, making it a spectacle for the audience.

The bowling department featured seven bowlers in total, with the prominent being Cheema, who ended with two scalps to his name. Saqlain’s quota was economical, where he gave away just 24 runs, while picking the prized wicket of Oram.

Jayasuriya, along with the new batsman http://www.senore.com/Cricket/H-Patel-c1519, lifted the momentum of the innings and gave a stand of 56 runs. The partnership was broken when the New Zealander, Oram, picked up the veteran Sri Lankan, who scored a healthy 41 off 24, including seven
four and a six.

The damage however, did not affect the Asian side as the middle and lower order contributed to help their side come up trumps with an over to spare.
Man of the Match award was given to Cheema for picking up two important wickets and also for hammering two massive sixes in his 20-run outing.
