Asia Youth Under 19 Mixed Team Championships: Song Xue trounces Tzu Wei Wang in Men’s Singles clash
Song Xue, a budding male shuttler from China, showed his spirit on court as he put up staggering show and trounced Tzu Wei Wang of Chinese Taipei in Men’s Singles encounter at Badminton Asia Youth Under 19 Mixed Team Championships on Sunday, July 1, in Korea.
The young Chinese entertained the local crowd with his impressive skills as he played flawless badminton and thrashed his Taipei rival without showing him any mercy throughout the match.
The in-form Song was impressive in his movement in the court and his incredibly sharp reflexes disturbed the flow of his confused rival. He finished off the contest in two games with a decent score on the board.
On the other hand, Tzu Wei also played good badminton but not enough to topple his Chinese rival. He was lacking the finishing touch and also could not execute smashes in right areas and eventually lost the match in straight games.
Song was in commanding position from the opening rallies of first game and he did not let his Taipei rival to take charge at any stage.
The Chinese youngster showed his aggressive approach in the court and was in strong position until the one-minute interval.
After the break, Song continued showing his tremendous skills without taking his rival easy. He placed his shots quite effectively and clinched the opening game with a tremendous 21-15 score on the board.
In the following game, Tzu Wei also displayed his impressive skills when he executed powerful shots in all corners of the court. He did not let his in-form Chinese opponent to build gap until the end of opening half.
After the break, both men continued their composed play as they avoided un-forced errors and remained positive all the way in the concluding half.
However, Song increased his speed at net at the ending phase and also made an effective use of his impressive smashes which helped him to take the second game with a tight margin of 21-19.
The impressive Chinese shuttler won this Men’s Singles clash quite authoritatively in straight games with a 21-15 and 21-19 score on the board.
