Asia finally makes it into darts with Rohit Rabadia
With the intent of participating in more darts events, Asian player Rohit Rabadia has joined UK BDO darts circuit.
For expanding his session of practice, the player is looking forward to changing his residence to participate in a greater number of events.
Rohit is among the few Asians who have finally been provided with the opportunity to become a part of mainstream darts after getting associated with the BDO darts circuit.
“It is most definitely a working class white sport which I want change. My main goal is to get more Asians on the circuit. I have only ever seen one other Asian at one event,” said Rohit.
He also said that in the beginning, he used to feel very nervous since he was the only Asian in the game.
However, after participating in a couple of events, he became more comfortable with the outlook of the game and, hence, adjusted to it.
It is important to mention here that Rohit has been playing darts since the age of 15. His experience in the game has also helped him in winning a couple of local community events.
He then marginalised himself from darts for 11 years after he entered the mainstream back in 2007.
After strengthening his position in local community events, he was finally able to grab an opportunity to unveil his skills and potential in darts in various darts events arranged by European darts organisations.
Apart from making his position among the top-tier of darts, Rohit also wants to change the misconception that people have regarding darts.
He will be competing in Holland and Poland for the next couple of weeks in the darts events that will take place in these countries.
Since his origin is from India, he wants to introduce the game in his country on a massive level. For this purpose, he will soon be launching a website by the name of www.TeamIndiaDarts.com.
According to the amateur darts player, the platform will prove pivotal for exploring new talent in Asia for darts.
Rohit believes that if one wants to improve his game, it is important that he must play with the best, no matter, how many times one may lose.
