It was a disappointing day for India in the track and field competitions as none of the athletes made it to the podium in the Asian Games here Monday. This comes a day after India bagged two gold medals and a silver at the Aoti Main Stadium. In the women's 400 metres final, Mandeep Kaur (52.99 seconds) and Manjeet Kaur (53.27 secs) finished fourth and fifth, respectively. The gold went to Kazakhastan's Olga Tereshkova with a season's best timing of 51.97secs as her compatriot Marina Maslyonko won the bronze with a timing of 52.70 secs. Japan's Asami Chiba won the silver with a timing of 52.68 secs.
