Asian giants Pakistan and India to resume cricketing ties soon – Cricket news
Bilateral cricket ties between India and Pakistan are likely to resume sooner rather than later after the Prime Ministers of both the neighbouring countries met at Mohali while the two teams were fighting for a spot in the final of the ICC World Cup 2011
on Wednesday.

According to reports, Prime Minister of Pakistan Yousaf Raza Gilani urged his Indian counterpart to resume sporting ties with each other.
President of the International Cricket Council Sharad Pawar was also present in the meeting and he also agreed that the ICC should help Pakistan in every way possible so that cricket fans in Pakistan can enjoy cricket in their own country.
Pawar who is also India’s Agriculture Minister agreed along with the Indian Prime Minister that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 and Pakistan should resume their cricketing relations soon.
Chairman of the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ijaz-Butt-c64128 confirmed this news and said that the dialogue with the Indian Prime Minister and the ICC Chairman was very positive and he is hopeful that both the countries will play a bilateral series in the near future.
The PCB Chairman said, “The talks with them on resumption of bilateral cricket ties were very fruitful and the Indian Prime Minister (Manmohan Singh) has also now assured (us) that the two countries will soon play bilateral series.”
Pakistan and India last played a series back in 2007-08 and after the 2008 Mumbai attacks, there has been a suspension in the bilateral cricketing relations between both the countries. Political tension between the two countries has a long history and it

The neighbouring countries played the semi-final of the showpiece event and the Prime Ministers of both the countries used the occasion to bridge cricketing ties. Ijaz Butt said that the semi-final is the first step and it is really going to help Pakistan
in future.
“I think the semi-final is the first step towards resumption of bilateral ties,” Butt added.
