Question:

Asian hair removal: Threading facial hairs?

I have always been a little fluffy (very hairy!) on my face, particularly the 'side burns' area, which isn't nice because I am a female after all.

Can I thread this area of my face?

I do know how to thread, a couple of friends taught me; I do my lady mustache every couple of weeks.

Also, as time goes by, will the hair not need to be threaded; will threading destroy/kill the horrible hair follicles in my face?

Thanks for any help!

  2. I just got eyebrowse done with thread at the mall at it felt nice

  3. I do this so i know what exactly what you are talking about, The salonist told me, if you wax it the hair growth will lesson and told me to come back every 3 weeks.

i did threading on my face before i met her but she said not to because it won;t lessen the growth of hair,

also it doesn't harm your skin and is 1000 times better then shaken,

    hope it help?!?

and if you use the right wax it will be fine but i guess it is up to you, threading diesn't lessen hair and waxing does

  4. Hello!

First of all, threading will not DESTROY the follicles on your face. Threading will have similiar yet not as drastic after effects as shaving. This is because often when the hair is pulled from the face while threading, the root is not pulled, therefore leaving it still there and short sharp hairs resuming to grow within a few days or two weeks.

However, threading is a better alternative to waxing that area on your face, due to the fact that waxing overtime pulls ur skin making it sag, it can also make u prone to acne! However, keep in mind that over time WAXING will reduce hair growth due to the fact that most of the time you are pulling the follicle.

Now, if you do decide to thread that area of your face, please ensure not to mess up and have an idea how much of the sideburn you want to take off, as it is natural that most woman do have SOME hair on the sideburn area (even look at aishwaria rai). And once making the mistake of ruining the hair shape it will take a long time to fix it. Bottom line, dont thread it in a straight line or you will look like a man who used a shaver and shaved STRAIGHT across his sidburn. You should make it so that there is a natural half circle where the hair ends, this is feminine.

    Good Luck!

  5. The use of depilatory products for removal of facial hair is not advocated, however popular a branded product

may be.Threading is considered ideal. However it is not permanent and will have to be repeated though not as frequently as shaving. And threading is easier once you get the hang of it.Happy Threading.
