Asian square symbols at the top of my computer page?

every computer page i bring up had those square symbols, they end with a letter or number and in one page it had another weird symbol that looks like a t crossed at top and in the middle. this happened to the main account of my computer a couple weeks ago but that went away, now its on my account. is this a virus or something?

That means you dont have the Language Font packs of the particular language on you computer.

Agreed, you need the font packs most likely although there are things called IPA packs which are needed for pronunciation guides.  Only just found out about those myself and am still reading up on them so I can't tell you any more yet.  ;-)
