  1. Tell that to Yao Ming.  Seriously though, I'm a shorter Asian and I feel your pain.  Another one to chalk up to our genetics.

  2. Well, height is mainly determined by genetics, however, this seems to be less of a factor when dealing with populations of people, where gene pools are usually well varied, so yes, proper nutrition and availability of healthcare are usually considered as major factors when studying the height of certain races.

However, a study by the Korea Institute of Sport Science shows that the average height of 19-24 year olds in South Korea is 5'8.8'' for males, and 5'3.7'' for females, while national estimates from the National Health Examination and the National

Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys between 1960 and 2002 indicate the average height for Americans is 5'9.3" (males), and 5' 3.8" (females), which doesn't seem like an extreme difference in height to me, and I think the genetics factor can likely explain this small of a difference in height.

  3. c

  4. genetics

  5. emm maybe it has to do with asian history

why are african people such high jumpers?

because in many tribes jumping was a form of dancing

why do girls prefere reading books and more sedimentary activities to men

because they did that during neolitic ages through to bronze ages while men were hunting and running around

maybe asian people were very sedimentary and they never needed to be tall in their times thousands of years ago
