Asians gaining dominance in international golf
Golf is considered to be an ancient sport. Traces of golf existing have also been found in the time of Julius Caesar. The golf played today is not the same as it was played before, it is a bit changed. Nonetheless, it is the same game. After a little time

Golf then restarted from the Great Britain, it was near to the 17th century. The first ever tournament, the British tournament, took place in 1860 and this tournament is still played.

Now it is time for a new era. The American reign is over. For many years now the Americans have remained very dominant in the world of golf. A new force in golf is rising. This new force is the Asian countries.
It actually took a tremendous amount of time for golf to actually reach the Asian countries. The modern golf originated from Britain. The sport quickly spread in Europe. On the contrary, it took a great amount of time to travel from Europe to Asia.
When the sport finally reached the Asian countries a great amount of time was wasted for the sport to get famous. The reason for it is the Asian countries were more interested in more thrilling sports like cricket and football.
Asians gained interest in golf very late. Golf is not still very famous in the south Asian countries like Pakistan and Afghanistan. On the contrary, the game has received considerable appreciation in countries like China, India and Korea.
The game has found huge amount of potential in this area in only the past few decades, for this reason no Asian player is in the ‘World Golf Hall of Fame’.
Presently many tournaments have also emerged from Asian countries. The Asian tournaments which are world renowned are the Asia Open and the Indian Open. These tournaments have international fame and the biggest stars of the game participate in it.
Many Asian players are entering the list of top ranking golf players in the world. It is just a matter of time before an Asian is on top of the golf rankings.
It is a big surprise to see that women of Asia have gained tremendous fame in the world of golf. Most of the players in list of top ten female golfers are Asian women.
The best female golfer in the world right now is Taiwanese professional golfer, Yani Tseng. She is only 23 years old and has been able to occupy the top of the golf ranking. She has already bagged 5 major wins and 26 professional wins.
The Asians are soon to be the biggest forces of golf. Women golfers are already the most dominant one. It is just a matter of time before Asian men also completely dominate golf.
